The William J. White Fellowship celebrates the legacy of William J. White, a pioneering public health leader who contributed to the eradication of smallpox and championed the power of collaboration and mentorship.
This Fellowship aims to drive systemic change by removing barriers to entry into the social impact sector. It provides young leaders from underserved communities with hands-on experience, personalized mentorship, and exposure to meaningful career opportunities. At Pyxera Global, we are committed to expanding access to the social impact field while recognizing and nurturing talent often overlooked by traditional hiring practices.
Each year, we award this paid Fellowship to one or more students from community colleges, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), or other minority-serving institutions, inviting them to join our global team at our Washington, D.C. office.
To enhance their learning and professional growth, WJW Fellows receive mentorship from Pyxera Global leadership, industry experts, and professionals outside the sector. They also participate in an immersive experience, contributing to an active Pyxera Global project and gaining firsthand insight into our approach to global engagement.
